This is my second entry for the 2013 calendar contest over at :iconthehistoryofhyrule:

I chose the scene in Ocarina of Time when Link has to dive in the Hyrule Castle mote to aquire the ocarina Zelda threw at him.

I wanted to do an interesting POV so i booted up the game put on my zora tunic and iron boots and went to the mote to get the right angle. Technically the mote is completely paved with bricks but I thought it would be neat to do only a small wall of bricks under the bridge and make the rest look all old and stuff.

Done with acrylics

I also have a FB fanpage here where I post in progress stuffs [link]

This is really amazing, you used the traditional medium excellently, I find acrylics very difficult to use, these stunning details, I first thought it's color pencil! And on top of that you have a very unique style. The angle comes great making the picture very dynamic, good choice to not make it completely paved :)

Really cool entry! I love the perspective and your color choices. The bubbles are such a nice touch, too. Great work! :D

I like both of your pictures you did for the calender contest! I actually was going to choose the same exact themes, but you beat you to it. Great job!

Well, you really pulled it off! The PoV is just stunning! I always have probems with interesting angles and you completely nailed it! I also like how you did some bricks and some dirt. I think it makes it feel more interesting and real.

I'm also really impressed with how well you work with acrylics! Your underwater colors/blues are very nice. It's so hard for me to get anything but "normal" color with paint. (if how I said that even makes sense)

Thank you, The blue that I used is very very strong and dark (one of my teachers in college even joked about having to have a liscence to use it) It was the very last thing I put on and i sat and stared at the painting for an hour thinking about how screwed I would be if it dind't work. Luckily everything fell into place *whew*
